Elementary school age Kenzie, pretending be a business owner. She is wearing fake glasses and has a landline receiver tucked between her ear and shoulder while she simultaneously files her nails with an emery board.

Empathetic. Quirky. Kenzie.

It all started with the Bambi: The Magic Behind the Masterpiece short documentary that ran at the end of the titular film’s 1997 VHS release.

I grabbed a sketchpad and tried to replicate the animation sequence of Thumper moving his foot. I knew in that moment that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My passion for illustration and storytelling led me to a radical career in graphic design.

I began my professional career in graphic design as a self-taught artist. I took the leap during the COVID-19 pandemic to pursue a secondary bachelor’s degree in Communication Design. By May 2024, I’ll “dual wield” a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Learn more about my educational and professional experiences on my résumé.

With over 6 professional years of higher education marketing and illustration experience under my belt, I’m looking for my next adventure.

Let’s get creative.
